Great hotel! Staff was very nice and efficient. Room was quite large even with two queen beds in it. Beds were very comfortable. I slept well even on the first night. The hotel has a decent sized heated indoor pool too, about 15' by 40'. There's a nice, free, hot breakfast in the morning too.
The service was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a fly problem in our room, but I'm sure it was an isolated incident. The breakfast could have been better.
The staff is amazing took great care of us, they assisted my so and 1 year old to the room, my so has had a knee surgery recently and is on crutches and I had to go to an atm. While there they helped her to the room and carried our child to the room. If we went to or through the lobby the staff was sure to make sure all was well with our room and our stay. If anyone is in the area in would 100% recommend it.
Great hotel with friendly staff. The rooms and linens are very clean and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast was very good with hot items including eggs, sausage or bacon, and various items each day like breakfast burritos or hot apple slices. Plenty of parking and food within walking distance. Quick 25 minutes to the lake on the main roads. The only reason I took a star is because of the pool. We had a day rained out and spent at the hotel using the pool. The pool and pool area is nice with lots of seating. The problem is the tile type around the pool. We had three kids age 4, 5, and 7. Each child fell because the tile was so slippery. And no, it was not because of running. The adults had to creep around as well to avoid falling. We made the decision they could not come out of the pool until they wanted to leave because it was so dangerous. I highly recommend the hotel puts some type of slip resistant coating on the tiles before someone cracks their head open. This is by no means a deal breaker and we will stay again when we go to the lake and don't want to drop 2k on a lake rental.
It's about a 20 minute drive to the closest part of Lake Anna. Not much else around.
Very enjoyable experience. Our room was lovely and spacious. We had a King Suite, the kids loved it.We enjoyed the indoor pool and breakfast. Will definitely stay again.
